Job Description
A digital marketing company in Portland, Maine, is seeking a Web Content & Project Manager to join our Marketing team. We are a full-service online marketing services company specializing in helping small businesses grow sales by creating responsive SEO websites and creating e-mail marketing campaigns that get results. We write copy that is rich with key words that gets websites noticed by search engines AND customers. This position is both a writing position, as well as serving as a project manager for multiple clients.
Responsibilities include but not are not limited to the following:
Content
• Execute content strategy and produce written content for client websites, email newsletters and more.
• Conduct key word research to determine to top performing key words for each client.
• Manage email marketing communications, including content calendar, testing, and reporting.
• Create and manage editorial calendar and content creation.
• Improve SEO to drive traffic to client websites.
• Write keyword-rich Title Tags and Meta Descriptions.
• Create strong calls to action.
• Integrate copy and make edits to client websites using WordPress.
Project Management
• Write proposals for potential clients.
• Serve as project manager and main point of contact for assigned clients, carefully tracking timelines and budgets and communicating with team on status of deliverables.
• On-board clients and set clear timelines and expectations.
• Assign and coordinate work to ensure that milestones are on track and all deadline are met on time.
• Build and maintain an excellent relationship with clients and team members.
• Maintain the team’s schedule, solicit new work assignments and evaluate team workload.
• Anticipate and resolve bottlenecks, provide escalation management.
• Content Management – help gather materials, assets and messaging for projects, as needed.
Requirements
• Competency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, HTML and Photoshop.
• Excellent understanding of digital marketing, search engine optimization and social media.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field (marketing/communications preferred).
• Experience with Google Analytics.
• 1-2 years of demonstrated experience in content creation and project management.
• Strong project management skills; can prioritize and organize multiple programs in a constantly changing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including copywriting skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy, ability to assist with QA review.
